The Ashven Strategy Group (ASG) wins elections by building cohesive campaign teams and formulating detailed action plans. We train staff, develop message, prepare rapid-response systems, help prepare for debates, devise grassroots outreach and execute get-out-the-vote (GOTV) programs.

Team Building - ASG will work with you to build a cohesive campaign team and devise an overall strategy for the campaign, based on the uniqueness of your candidacy and the political realities of the election and the jurisdiction in which you are running. No two elections are ever the same and we do not simply “plug in” your ideas or match you to a cookie cutter campaign plan. Your plan will be unique and will focus on your strengths and defend your weaknesses.

Action Plans -After your campaign team agrees on overall  strategy, ASG will provide a detailed action plan itemizing all components of your campaign, including: line-item budgets; vote goals with targeting analysis; earned-media message and timeline; office and administrative  procedures; candidate scheduling based on communicating with core constituencies and swing voters; and outreach programs by precinct and media market.

Political Training - The Ashven Group has developed political and media-training curricula on how to execute campaign strategy and action plans. We can work with you to conduct sessions in crisis management, re-election strategies and incumbent protection. Our procedures have been used to successfully train hundreds of political operatives and candidates throughout the United States.

Communications - ASG will work with your campaign to identify and use the tools you need to win, including earned and paid media, direct mail, phones and Internet communications. We will identify the news outlets that reach core constituencies and decision-makers. ASG will also advise and assist you in building and maintaining positive relationships with news organizations and reporters. When appropriate, ASG will assess which outlets to target for paid media.

As part of your communications team, ASG will also work with you to develop message and devise delivery systems, including media tours, news events, surrogates and speakers bureaus. We can assist in drafting, editing and placing written materials for both general-interest and specialty publications. If needed, we can train and advise your in-house communications staff or supervise media relations.

Rapid Response - ASG is prepared to help you manage and respond rapidly to campaign crises. Our standardized operations will help you regain the advantage so that you come out ahead when the crisis is over. Our rapid-response services include media training, research triage, fact checks of opposition communications and deployment of surrogates and third-party validators.

Debate Preparation - ASG can negotiate format, develop strategies, draft opening and closing statements, practice answers and help manage post-debate news coverage. Our partners and associates have prepared debate strategies for candidates at every level of the ballot.

Grassroots Outreach - ASG action plans identify persuadable constituencies and key decision-makers essential to putting together a winning majority. We also design accountability systems so that you know who is responsible for each grassroots program.

GOTV - ASG can assist you in assembling campaign technologies and operational systems so that you can turn out your base voters and positive IDs. We will also work with your field and political departments to coordinate phones, mail, rallies, door-to-door outreach and field activities based on the vote goals outlined in the campaign’s action plan.
